WLE programs

Teacher certification programs

Supporting the Teacher Certification Programs is the central mission of the World Language Education area. This section not only provides useful resources for current certifying students, but also outlines program details through program descriptions and FAQs.

Masters programs

The masters programs in World Language Education at UW-Madison are designed to assist classroom teachers with license renewal. In the Masters programs there is an emphasis on action research and reflective practice. This section contains profiles of current and past masters students as well as relevant program information and FAQs

Ph.D. program

The Ph.D. program in World Language Education combines rigorous academic coursework with multiple research opportunities in order to develop skilled and socially conscious researchers. This section contains current student profiles and resources as well as information on applying to and settling into the program.
