Teacher resources: Lesson planning

Lesson Planning

This section is designed to provide resources for language teachers involved in the lesson planning process. The first article demonstrates the fundamentals of a solid lesson plan design, including model lesson plans and templates. The next area of focus shifts towards ways to work with the standards--Wisconsin DPI, UW-Madison school of education as well as the "Five Cs" of language teaching.

The second half of this section provides language teachers with a ready collection of resources in Spanish, German, French and other languages for designing lesson plans and giving students language activities they can do from home. Although a few model lesson plans are provided to provide structure, the majority of the resources are intended to provide ideas and raw material for adaptation. As these lists are always growing and changing, please feel free to submit additional sites that you find useful by clicking on the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page.
